A Change Worth Making: Why I'm Updating My Session Offerings (Again!)

Yes, you read that right – I'm updating my session offerings again, even though I just made changes in June. But here's the thing: sometimes you have to listen to what your experience (and heart) is telling you.

What I've Learned

Over the years, I've tried different approaches – 30-minute sessions, 60-minute options, various time limits and price points. But what I kept discovering was this: you simply cannot put a time limit on capturing who your dog truly is.

When a client brings me their senior dog, their new puppy, or wants to document this precious chapter – these moments deserve the time they need. Not the time that works for my schedule.

Going Back to What Works

I'm returning to a one-session option, besides mini sessions and open studio events, and back to offering up to 90-minute sessions. Some dogs need time to warm up and feel comfortable. Others are ready to shine immediately but all deserve to have their story told properly. Every dog is unique, and the magic happens when we're not watching the clock.

Why This Matters

Time and again, clients would book shorter sessions that naturally evolved into 60 or 90 minutes because that's what their dog needed. I never rushed them – how could I? My job is to help your beloved dog feel relaxed and enjoy the experience while creating beautiful, meaningful images.

When you invest in a session with me, you're getting an experience. You're getting someone who understands that your dog might need extra time to feel secure, or who recognizes when your pup is having their best moment.

I know my worth and the value of giving each session the time it deserves. Beautiful images can't be rushed.

Thank you for trusting me with your beloved dogs. Here's to creating images that truly capture who they are – in whatever time that takes.
